"The Dangers of Islamic
Extremists"
"Our job is to reclaim America for
Christ, whatever the cost.. As the vice regents of God, we are
to exercise godly dominion and influence over our neighbors, our
schools, our government, our literature and arts, our sports
arenas, our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific
endeavors - in short, over every aspect and institution of human
society." Dr. James Kennedy, pastor of
Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, presented
this statement to the attendees of a national Reclaiming America
for Christ conference at the church in February, 2005.[1]
Gary Cass, the
executive director of the Center for Reclaiming America
discussed their plans to build around five issues: the sanctity
of life, religious liberty, pornography, the "homosexual
agenda," and creation vs. evolution. As he discussed this
he stated, "If they don't vote our way, we'll change their view
one way or another."
Businessman Michael Pink told
conference attendees it's time to "take back the portals of
power." His particular interest was taking control of
commerce since, according to him, "commerce controls all the
gates - to government, the courts, and so on." Mr. Pink
also discussed his efforts to convince wealthy Christian
business people to use their wealth to purchase major,
influential companies (examples he used were ABC and NBC).
Could this conference be an
extension of the ideas expressed by Randall Terry (former
Operation Rescue leader) - "I want you to just let a wave of
intolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred
wash over you. Yes, hate is good ... if a Christian voted for
Clinton, he sinned against God. It's that simple. Our goal is a
Christian nation. We have a biblical duty, we are called by God
to conquer this country..."
Could it be the tip of a Talibanic
America iceberg?
